Double glazed units and greenhouse glass
Replacement double glazed units, misted unit replacement and integral blinds, plus toughened greenhouse glass cut to size. Supplied and fitted across Scotland.

What we do
We supply sealed double glazed units, including replacements for misted or failed units, and we cut greenhouse glass to size. AJ Glass works from our own Falkirk factory, fitting across central Scotland and supplying cut-to-size glass UK-wide, so whether a window has misted up or a greenhouse pane has broken, we can replace it.

What we supply
From a single misted window to a whole greenhouse re-glaze, we supply the glass to your sizes.
Replacement double glazed units: new sealed units made to your sizes for misted, failed or broken windows, fitted into your existing frames.
Integral blinds: blinds sealed inside the double glazed unit, so they never need dusting and cannot be reached by children or pets.
Greenhouse glass, cut to size: standard horticultural panes or toughened greenhouse glass, cut to your measurements for a single pane or a full re-glaze.

What to know before you buy
With glazing, people mostly ask about misted windows, energy efficiency, and the safer choice for a greenhouse. Here is the short version.
Misted windows fix the glass, not the frame
Condensation between the panes means the sealed unit has failed, not the frame. We supply a new sealed unit to match and fit it into your existing window, which is far cheaper than a full window replacement.
Energy-efficient units
We can build units with a low-emissivity coating and an argon-filled cavity for a lower U-value and warmer rooms. Tell us your window sizes and we will spec the unit to suit.
Toughened is safer for a greenhouse
Ordinary horticultural glass is thin and breaks into sharp pieces. Toughened greenhouse glass is far stronger and, if it breaks, crumbles into small blunt pieces, which is safer in a garden and stands up better to wind and knocks.

Double glazing and greenhouse glass questions
The things we're asked most, answered straight.
No. Misting between the panes means the sealed unit has failed, not the frame. We supply a new double glazed unit to match and fit it into your existing window, which is far cheaper than a full window replacement.
It is two panes of glass sealed together with a spacer bar and an insulating gap, usually filled with argon. The sealed cavity keeps heat in. When the seal fails, condensation appears between the panes and the unit needs replacing.
Yes. We can build units with a low-emissivity coating and an argon-filled cavity for a lower U-value and warmer rooms. Tell us your window sizes and we will spec the unit to suit.
Integral blinds are blinds sealed inside the double glazed unit. They never need dusting, cannot be pulled by children or pets, and are operated from the outside of the glass. Ask us to include them when we quote your units.
The easiest way is to read the sizes etched onto the metal spacer bar between the panes, or measure the visible glass and add for the part hidden by the frame. If you would rather not, we will come and measure for you.
Yes. Where the location requires safety glass, such as a door, a side panel or low-level glazing, we build the unit with toughened or laminated glass so it meets building regulations.
Yes. We cut greenhouse glass to your measurements for a single broken pane or a full re-glaze, in standard horticultural glass or toughened greenhouse glass.
Toughened is the safer choice. It is far stronger than thin horticultural glass and, if it breaks, crumbles into small blunt pieces rather than sharp shards, which matters in a garden. Standard glass costs less. We will help you decide.
Both. We fit replacement units across central Scotland, and we supply cut-to-size units and greenhouse glass for you or your fitter.
